Entire industries are being disrupted by new businesses that are scaling quickly and in many instances, have the potential to displace long-established companies.
Since 2002 52% of the Fortune 500 companies are no longer around; most are now expected to last no more than another 15-20 years.
Disrupt 100 is an annual index celebrating the businesses from around the world with the most potential to influence, change or create new global markets.
Each Disrupt 100 venture was sourced from over 5M global startups and corporate ventures, and has been scored against some specific criteria.
We’ve measured the potential each company has to affect an existing market or geography, introduce new customers into an existing market and/or create a new market with significant customer demand. We know, we’ve got pretty high standards.
We’ve then worked to curate the 100 with the help of 18 industry experts from the likes of Uber, Google, Virgin Startup, Oracle, Silicon Valley Bank, plus tech accelerators Accelerated Digital Ventures and Whitespace Ventures and entrepreneurs Emma Sinclair, Tom Goodwin and Bill Liao.
